Job Title: Golf Course Cafe Supervisor

Supervisor:Event Director

Summary: Seasonal position, managing day to day operations at Mulligans, Beverage Carts and staff. Control inventory and cost of products including but not limited to beer, liquor and water, food items, cigars for Mulligans including Beverage Carts. Responsible for the overall performance of Mulligans, and cleanliness inside and out. Meet and maintain all standards of the general operation while providing great face to face customer service.

Job Duties:

  • Set an example by maintaining high standards of performance
  • Participate with Event Director in the interviewing and hiring process of Mulligans personnel
  • Train proper performance and time requirements emphasizing the importance of the guest
  • Monitor employee performance to ensure knowledge, ability and consistency; test and correct where needed (e.g. beginning of shift inventory, mid and end of shift inventory, donated product, special instructions for golf outings)
  • Communicate thoroughly all changes, updates and recipes (special instructions per BEO, new beer, new products)
  • Communicate with the Chef to use extra product for features
  • Knowledge of Point of Sales System
  • Schedule, with approval, all shifts with consideration of predicted volume of all areas of events and Golfers for the week
  • Ensure all counter and beverage cart shifts are covered including when: an employee calls in sick, or an extra person needed to best serve volume
  • Ensure guests are treated courteously, complaints and problems are resolved, notifying supervisor of any significant issues, assisting in prompt corrective action.
  • Negotiate and reconcile all comps, voids, payment issues from each shift
  • Ensure that banks are ready for all drawers and beverage carts needed. Coordinate with Accounting if additional banks are needed and for when
  • Communication of inventory so the POS system can be properly updated, priced correctly and removed when out of inventory
  • Establish and maintain par levels and rotation of products, storage and protocols on how to move inventory throughout the building
  • Inventory product monthly; order weekly or when needed with approval to replenish product and maintain par levels
  • Maintain Accubar pricing and categorizing of all liquor, beer and wine
  • Manage delivery of product, checking for accuracy, rotating new shipments and forwarding paperwork to billing department
  • Report weekly liquor, wine and beer invoices to accounting using the proper reporting tools
  • Develop and organize cleaning and maintenance of Mulligans and Beverage Carts. Before summer season and after season to manage/inventory equipment needs.
  • Assign and follow up on cleaning schedule to ensure that Mulligans and equipment is clean and properly maintained
  • Maintain a complete knowledge of daily event operations
  • Ensure all products are served in proper disposables
  • Manage and maintain par levels of paper products. Order when needed
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication of guest, ensure no employee is handling an intoxicated guest alone. Alert other management of intoxicated guest
  • Ensure all beverages appear on guest check as soon as guest is served
  • Maintain fruit, juice, food and all other perishable products. Ensure their freshness and rotation
  • Maintain 86 list to ensure all staff is up to date on out of stock products for each shift including following days opening shift
  • Ensuring all staff complete, tally, and attach consumption tabs at the end of each event(golf outing) that has a hosted bar and give to Golf Sales
  • Schedule complete and given to Director of Sales and All Employees by 5pm every Friday for the following week.
  • Updating of paperwork, consumption sheets, pricing, products, ect.
